Canadian Dental Care Plan
Prioritize Your Oral Health with Langley Dental
Langley Dental knows that oral health is essential to overall wellness. Many Canadians struggle with high dental care costs, which is why we’re proud to participate in the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) — a program designed to make vital dental care affordable and accessible.
Understanding the Canada Dental Care Plan
The CDCP was introduced in 2023 as part of Canada’s strategy to reduce healthcare inequalities. This plan assists Canadians without dental insurance, especially low to middle-income families, to receive affordable preventive and essential treatments.
Who Qualifies for CDCP?
If you’re eligible, the CDCP could significantly reduce your out-of-pocket costs. Qualifications include:
- Income Limits: Families with an adjusted income below $90,000.
- Lack of Other Coverage: Individuals without access to any other dental insurance.
- Residency Requirements: Must be a Canadian resident with a tax return filed in the previous year.
Services Covered by the CDCP
- Preventive Treatments: Exams, cleaning, fluoride, X-rays.
- Basic Dental Care: Fillings and pain relief.
- Emergency Dental Care Treatment: Root canals treatment and tooth extractions.
Pre-authorization may be required for specific procedures like root canal retreats and crowns.
Coverage Tiers Based on Income
The coverage percentage varies depending on your income:
- Below $70,000: Full coverage provided.
- $70,000 – $79,999: 60% covered, remaining 40% paid by the patient.
- $80,000 – $89,999: 40% covered, with 60% as personal expense.
